Is medical istant school worth my money?
Iam in Orlando FL, I to be a RN is it a good idea to attend a 8 month 10, 000 MA program everest university first? ? my friends me iam wasting my money beause MAs do not i be agood to step foot in medical field. Any advise?- no it's not worth 10, 000 its only worth 1, 215 the most. but some colleges have lower payments some are 600 dollars. but you get what am saying. try to find some other school
- If you want to be an RN, your best bet is to skip the medical istant and instead start toward the RN degree at your local community college. Ask them if they offer training toward becoming an RN, and what you need to do to get into that program. Also talk to them about other medical - related options, such as LPN and medical istant. See which you like best, and if RN is really your thing, study for it there. A cc will not only be far less expensive than the program you mention, but it also is highly reputable - that degree will be acceptable with any employer looking for people coming from such programs, and you can transfer those credits to other universities in the future, should you choose to go on for another degree for example, should you choose to become a medical istant now, and later decide to study to be an RN. That's NOT the case with a school like Everest. You will not be able to transfer those credits, and that would be a real shame. So while I do not think becoming a medical istant is necessarily a bad idea, I'd rather you save money and go to the quality programs available at a community college. And if RN is really what you want, ask them about what you need to do to enter that program - and then start trying to meet those requirements
