Is a stronger pain medicine I oxycodone pain my tonsillectomy?
- call your doctor, course while on the meds, have someone else call the doc for you, looks better that way, not like an addict begging for something stronger. and have some frozen sorbet till you get the new meds. Make sure the doc knows you are getting headaches and its not cutting the pain, though you are supposed to feel pain during this recovery it should not be enough to stop everyday activities. Reason for the sorbet is its water based with fruit antioxidants! yeah! and better than ice cream. Ice cream having milk can aide in infection due to the cultures and can cause you to cough and have phlegm build up. ouch
- I think you need a large dose of - it - up. Pain medication is strong and dangerous. If it's that bad, consult your dr
- I doubt many doctors will prescribe it for your condition but hey, I am not an MD but you can always ask. It is Dilaudid hydromorphone HCL and does come in liquid form. My mom was given it in tablet form for terminal cancer pain. Her oncologist described it as the closest thing to Heroin available in the US. As for cocaine. yes it is a legal Schedule II narcotic as is Dilaudid and oxycodone. but I am not sure if it is available in liquid form. Hope you get the relief you need
- cocaine, but I rarely saw this prescribed, it comes in liquid and powder form but I only saw the powder form in the recovery room right after surgery and the liquid form on the surgical floors, one was for a wound can not remember the other, and a doctor used it for my eye once but it can only be used once every 24 hours in your eye cause any higher dose would be toxic to the eye
- it up soldier, i had my tonsils taken out as an adult and i did not take any pain medicine aside from what they gave me in my IV, i hate pain medicine it makes me feel weird also why were you having bone from your nose taken out?
- oxycotton
- First off, oxycodone does not contain codeine, and morphine is not the same as stadol. Those are 4 different drugs. Yes, there are other drugs stronger and / or different than oxycodone that may help. You are not being a baby, the surgery you had is VERY painful, especially for adults. Call the surgeon and tell him / her that the pain meds are not helping much, they give you headaches, and ask if there is anything else that can be prescribed. They should be able to help you out
- Unfortunately, even if people can tell you about other drugs, nobody on this site can actually prescribe it for you. Anything stronger than what you have is going to need a prescription. Call your doctor and ask what he or she can do for you
- Hey shorty! Man, i can not believe you are in that much pain from that operation and that they even gave you oxycodone! I am not saying that you're pain is not real but that is a very strong narcotic. i have to take vicodin Lortab and that doesn't cut my pain either but i have tried morphine and methadone and they were both too strong so i just stick to my Lortab and suffer a little. OK, they make morphine in a spray form called Stadol, maybe that would be better and then you would not even have to swallow at all? They also make the vicodin in syrup form? BE SURE to tell your doc that the med you are on is giving you headaches! It may be the codeine in it cause i doublt it is the acetaminophen tylenol. So good luck and i hope you find something better but be careful cause all these meds are very addictive!
- Call your doctor but do not be too optimistic that they will prescribe anything different or stronger. Many doctors care little for pain management if at all. I live with chronic pain after numerous broken bones and a car accident as a pedestrian. Some things I do are: Shower and slowly reduce the hot water until you are standing under ice cold water. Stay there until all you can possibly think of is how freezing you are and how badly you want out. Then get out, dry off and cuddle up under a warm blanket. Something about the reaction to cold cuts pain. Practice breathing exercises - think Lamaze childbirth - look up breathing exercises. It helps with your natural pain response. Distractions are good. Watch television, read a book, listen to favorite music. Ask a doctor first on this one but I have successfully alternated ibuprofen with oxycodone to help get swelling and pain under control before. Sorry you're hurting so bad
- Ask your Dr. for percocet 10mg. that will stop or at least let you deal with the pain
- Firstly, you should inform your physician that you want tablets, not liquid. uming you're taking Percocet, be aware that oxycodone is a Schedule 2 medication. Doctors are scared to prescribe it, and when they do the script is for too few s with instructions to take too few s. You have the human right to control your body and be free of pain. If the dosage of oxycodone prescribed by your physician is not doing the job, increase the dosage. I guarantee you that if this physician was experiencing your kind of pain, he would be popping Percocet like M&Ms
